High-res requests
The one door an original goes out through, and the 72 hours it stays open.

les Archives isn't a cloud archive. Your originals live on your Mac and stay there. This page is about the single, deliberate exception.
What normally travels
Cataloging a frame produces two derivatives, and only one of them survives.

That is the correction worth reading twice. Only one copy persists, and it's in the cloud rather than on your machine.
The original stays put. Read in place, never moved, never renamed, never uploaded.
Who can ask, and who can't
A non-owner in the workspace can press Request high-res original on any frame's detail panel. An invited social media manager, a VA, an editor with usage access.
You never see that button, and that's deliberate. You already have the originals. They're on your disk.
Approving one
Requests land in your High-Res Requests inbox, which sits on the Dashboard and in Settings, chapter 09, The Team.
Approving is the upload. We read the original from your Mac, send it up untouched, and stamp it with a 72-hour expiry. An hourly sweep deletes anything past that window, so the cloud never holds an original longer than three days.
One approval, one file, one expiry. The requester sees a Download high-res original button for as long as the window is open, and nothing after it closes.
What this means for where you catalog from
The catalog survives anything. Once a job is done the working copies are in the cloud, and moving the source folder can't take that away.
The path back to the original is the fragile part. Which is the argument for pointing the app at a permanent location, the place finished weddings go to rest, rather than a working folder you clear out for the next job.
