Accepting an invitation
For the person being invited. What accepting actually does, why the email has to match, and the four errors worth recognizing.

Someone has invited you into their workspace. This page is for you rather than for them.
Accepting makes you a team member in that workspace, a collaborator. You don't need your own license and you don't need your own Claude key. You work under theirs.
Install the app first
The invitation link opens the Mac app. If the app isn't on your Mac yet, the link has nothing to open.
Install les Archives takes about two minutes. Do that, then come back to the email.
What the link does
- Open the email and click the link. It opens les Archives and lands you on a screen headed You're invited, with the workspace name in large type. Under that, three lines: Email, Role, and Expires. Read the email address. It matters in a moment.
- Sign in, or make an account. Already signed in under the invited address? Press Accept invitation and you're in. Not signed in? Press Sign in or create account. One passwordless screen handles both. Enter the invited email, we send you a six-digit code, and acceptance carries on by itself once you're through.
- You land in the workspace. Their archive, their jobs, their brand. What you can reach depends on the access they gave you, and there's no request-more button. Ask them.
What accepting actually does
It adds you to the owner's workspace as a team member. That is the whole of it.
It doesn't look up a license, and it doesn't take a seat from the owner's plan. By design, not an oversight. Your account is your own, made the passwordless way, with your email and a six-digit code. The work you do inside that workspace runs under the owner's plan, against the owner's monthly image allowance and the owner's workspace key.
So nothing is asked of you at acceptance beyond signing in as the person who was invited. No key to buy, no license to enter, no payment step. Billing is the owner's side of this.
The email has to match
The invitation is bound to the address it was sent to. Sign in with a different one and acceptance is refused rather than quietly attaching you to the wrong account. You get a screen headed Wrong account naming both addresses.
That screen offers Sign out and continue. Take it, sign in with the invited address, and it picks up where it left off by itself.
This catches people who already have a personal les Archives account under one address and get invited on their work address. Both can exist. They're just not the same account.
Four messages, and what each one means

None of these are your fault and none of them mean your account is broken. A fifth message about seats or licenses never arrives, because acceptance never checks either one.
About approvals
Your Instagram posts may need the owner's approval before anything publishes, depending on what they chose when they invited you. If you schedule something to Instagram and it sits awaiting review rather than going out, that's the setting working, not a bug.
Pinterest posts go live without approval. Billing is always off for invitees, so you'll never be asked to pay for anything. The Team chapter in Settings covers the three approval modes.
