Client approvals
A team control that decides whether an assistant's posts need your sign-off, and a no-login review page so a client can sign off before anything publishes.

Two separate things live on this page, and keeping them apart is the whole trick.
Approval mode is a team control. It decides whether the posts a team member schedules go live on their own or wait for you.
The client approver email is what brings an outside client into the loop on your own posts.
Neither is a general auto-publish setting. Whether a platform posts by itself is covered under What happens at the scheduled time, and there's no switch for it.
Approval mode is a team control
If you work alone, this one isn't yours to set. Approval mode governs a team member, meaning someone you invited into your workspace who manages the calendar. A Studio and Agency control.
| Their mode | What happens to a post they schedule |
|---|---|
| Direct | It goes live at its slot, no sign-off |
| In-app | It's held for you inside les Archives. Pending items show as cards in the calendar |
| Preview link | It's held, and a shareable single-post page is minted so it can be reviewed from a browser |
Those three names, Direct, In-app and Preview link, are the names on the shipping control.
Where it's set, and what it actually sets
Settings, chapter 09, The Team, the APPROVAL MODE row.
The client approver email
A separate row, CLIENT APPROVER EMAIL, sits next to it. Owner only, one address, one per workspace, and it saves on click rather than as you type. For an Agency that means each client workspace carries its own approver, which is the whole point.
The row that governs your posts. Set an address and the posts you schedule yourself are held for that client to review, and they get an email. Leave it blank and nothing you schedule ever waits.
One condition worth knowing, because it's the only place these two rows meet. Your own posts are held only when the workspace is on In-app or Preview link. If it is on Direct, they publish as normal whether or not an approver is set.
With no client approver email set, your own posts are never held. That's the solo-safety gate, and it's why a photographer working alone can leave this whole page alone.
What the client sees
Their own token-based link. Any browser, no sign-in. They see pending approvals, the upcoming schedule, and recently published posts. On each pending post they can Approve, Request changes with a note, or Decline with a note.
Their answer writes back into the app.
The email
Schedule a post that needs approval and we email the client, deep-linked to that exact post so they land on it rather than on a list. If the workspace doesn't have a portal link yet, one is minted at that moment.
Only your own posts email the client. A team member's post waits for you in the app instead, so your client is never pulled into reviewing your assistant's drafts.
Preview links
In preview link mode each scheduled post also mints a single-post URL at
preview.lesarchives.app. Useful when you want one post reviewed without
opening up the whole calendar.
What you see
Approvals show up as status cards in the content calendar's day detail. Awaiting review means it's with them. A reply from the client changes the status and the note appears on the card.
Those cards are display only. They carry no buttons. You can't approve on a client's behalf from the calendar, and marking something approved for them is not something the shipping app can do.
A pending badge sits on the workspace switcher, so you can see at a glance whether anything is waiting.
A post nobody answers sits in Awaiting review. It won't publish until someone acts on it.
