Moving around
⌘ and a number jumps straight to a section, from anywhere in the app. These are the ones worth learning on day one.
| Keys | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| ⌘ 0 | Dashboard. Home, and what needs you today |
| ⌘ 1 | Catalog. Your jobs, and where cataloging runs |
| ⌘ 2 | The Archive. Every cataloged frame |
| ⌘ 3 | Share. The calendar, the queue, publishing |
| ⌘ 4 | Create. Carousel Studio |
| ⌘ 5 | Settings |
Backing out
esc steps back one level rather than jumping home, so it does what you expect wherever you are.
| Where you are | What esc does |
|---|---|
| A single frame open in The Archive | Back to the grid you were browsing |
| The Archive grid | Home to the Dashboard |
| A job open in Catalog | Closes the job, leaves you in Catalog |
| Catalog or Share, nothing open | Home to the Dashboard |
Rating frames in The Archive
This is the one that saves real time. Hover a frame and press a number. No clicking, no selecting first, and you can run down a whole grid with one hand.
| Keys | What it does |
|---|---|
| 1 to 5 | Sets that star rating on the frame under your cursor |
| The same number again | Clears the rating. Pressing 4 on a 4 star frame takes it back to none |
| 0 | Clears the rating outright |
Zooming the grid
| Keys | What it does |
|---|---|
| + or − | Bigger or smaller thumbnails in The Archive |
| ⌘ + or ⌘ − | The same thing, if that is the habit you already have |
Elsewhere in the app
| Keys | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| a | Alt text audit | Approve and move on |
| f | Alt text audit | Flag it for another look |
| ⌘ S | Alt text audit | Save your pass |
| ⌘ E | Carousel Studio | Export the slides as PNGs |
| ⌘ , | Anywhere | Settings, the standard Mac shortcut |
On this site
| Keys | What it does |
|---|---|
| ⌘ K | Search the docs, from any page |
| ⌘ ↩ | Send, in the community room |
